A closer look at the intake record

This review asks whether the application register operates as a continuous, understandable account of items received. It suits teams that are not yet ready for payment-ledger testing but need assurance over register custody and completion.

We inspect sequence continuity, receipt and application cross-references, dates, mandatory fields, overwriting, cancellations, unexplained blank lines and evidence of supervisory review. Where formats changed during the period, old and new registers are bridged rather than treated as one uninterrupted series.

Deliverables

The work produces a register health memorandum, a schedule of specific anomalies and a practical control checklist. Interviews with up to three relevant custodians are included. Applicant eligibility, payment bankings and decisions made after intake fall outside this focused scope.

Provide the original register or a complete legible scan, written completion instructions if they exist, and the names of custodians during the review period. We quote after confirming the number of volumes, pages and locations.

Ask for a register review and include the period and approximate number of entries.
